Giving / Donating

The Bible speaks to us about giving generously and cheerfully because giving is an act of Worship.  We give to the Lord in gratitude and as a demonstration of our commitment, not because our church has operational needs or maintenance costs.

We encourage you as a disciple of Jesus to commit to making a regular contribution.  The amount you decide to give is entirely your decision.  The amounts are confidential.

To ensure we keep an accurate record of your giving, a personal tithe number is issued to you by the Senior Administrator.

Giving methods

There are two options by which regular giving can be made.  Choose one of the following which best suits your needs;

Automatic Payment
We favour this method of payment because it helps keep our administration to a minimum.  Below are the details your bank will require to set up this method.

Bank Details:            Bank of New Zealand, Whangarei
Account Name:        St Andrews Church
Account Number:    02-0492-0017844-000  (or 00 for internet banking)
Reference:                Name and tithe number

Envelope System
We provide you with the number of envelopes you require for the year, marked with your tithe number.  These envelopes can be placed in the free-will offering boxes on Sundays.

Tax receipts

Tax receipts are issued in April every year for all donations made to St Andrews using a tithe number.

Bequests

Bequests can be arranged by your solicitor either by attaching a codicil to your existing Will or by making a new or revised Will.  It is important to have a Will.  Without one, there is no record of your wish to leave bequests to family, friends, or charitable organisations.
